NSK receives valuable donation of books on India

On 26 March 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the Republic of India to the Republic of Croatia His Excellency Arun Goel visited the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK), on which occasion he donated to NSK valuable titles on his homeland. His Excellency Mr Goel met with the NSK Director General Dr Ivanka Stričević, NSK Library Adviser for International Cooperation Jagoda Ille and NSK Senior Public Relations Adviser Ivana Mirošević. The donation, consisting of more than twenty books, has been included in The World in Books, NSK’s permanent exhibition featuring titles informing its users of various countries from different perspectives and providing an overview of the Library’s international cooperation-focused ties.

The delegation from North Macedonia’s National and University Library “St Clement of Ohrid” visited the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK), opening opportunities for fostering friendship between the two national libraries and for strengthening their cooperation. The North Macedonia’s national library’s Director Jovica Nikčevski, accompanied by the library’s officials Jovica Tasevski, Zorica Jakovleska Spirovska and Magdica Šambevska made a guided tour of NSK, after which they met with the NSK Director General Dr Ivanka Stričević. Final “Heritage at Hand at CroAtrium” event showcases Croatian emigrant heritage

On 4 November 2025, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) organised the last event of Heritage at Hand at CroAtrium, its programme aimed at the popularisation and promotion of the CROATICA collection, which NSK assembles and curates. Held at CroAtrium, the Library’s multimedia lab and heritage interpretation centre ideal for presenting its collections to a wide range of audiences, the event showcased the results of a 2024 project which the Library ran in cooperation with the Croatian Fraternal Union of America.
