We make a fair portion of our collection available for loan – and we want to keep it that way! As part of celebrating this year’s Croatian Book Month, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will be waiving late return charges from 11 to 14 November. Overdue titles may be returned where they were issued – at the loan desk on the Library’s Ground Floor or in the reading rooms on Floors 3 and 4. Just return that overdue book and you will completely be let off the hook!

18 – 21 February 2026

As part of the activities ushering in the celebration of the 2026 National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) Day, the Library will be waiving all late return charges from 18 to 21 February. Overdue titles may be returned where they were issued – at the loan desk on the Library’s Ground Floor or in the reading rooms on Floors 3 and 4. As part of celebrating this year’s Croatian Book Month, the National and University Library in Zagreb will be waiving all late return charges from 8 to 15 November 2025. Overdue titles may be returned where they were issued – at the loan desk on the Library’s Ground Floor or in the reading rooms on Floors 3 and 4. Just return that overdue book and you will completely be let off the hook!

Joining the programme of Croatian Book Month 2023 and marking Croatian Book Day, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will be waiving all late return charges from 9 to 11 November 2023. Overdue titles are to be returned where they were issued, i.e. the central loan desk on the Library’s Ground Floor or in the reading rooms on Floors 3 and 4.
