The mission of NSK, the National and University Library in Zagreb, is to develop library collections and services which enable it to promote Croatia’s cultural and scientific heritage and stimulate the development of the Croatian national library system.

The vision for the development of the National and University Library in Zagreb takes account of the Library’s sphere of work in the future, which anticipation has shaped the Library’s three strategic goals and eleven specific objectives laid out by the Library’s current strategy, NSK Development Strategy 2026, and is summed up in the Strategy’s motto as Passing on ideas through time.
