Croatian Book Night 2025: Reading to be promoted in over 1,100 programmes

On 23 April 2025, at 12.00, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will host the opening of the 14th edition of the Croatian Book Night, Croatia’s annual national programme marking World Book and Copyright Day and Croatian Book Day (22 April). On more than 260 locations all across Croatia as many as 330 institutions – 180 public libraries, numerous bookstores, antiquarian bookshops, museums, but also schools, kindergartens, hospitals, elderly care homes and prisons – will take part in this national celebration of books and reading.

On Friday, 18 April 2025, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will close at 16.00 and reopen on Tuesday, 22 April 2025, resuming its regular opening hours. NSK café and restaurant closing over Easter The café and restaurant operating as part of the Library, on Floor 5, will be closed from Friday, 18 April, to Monday, 21 April 2025, and reopen on Tuesday, 22 April 2025, resuming their regular opening hours – from Monday to Friday between 8.00 and 15.00. The Library wishes everyone, especially its users, followers, partners and friends, a happy Easter!

Our books back, your late return charges waived!
