NSK waving late return charges as part of 2025 Croatian Book Month

8 – 15 November 2025

As part of celebrating this year’s Croatian Book Month, the National and University Library in Zagreb will be waiving all late return charges from 8 to 15 November 2025. Overdue titles may be returned where they were issued – at the loan desk on the Library’s Ground Floor or in the reading rooms on Floors 3 and 4. Just return that overdue book and you will completely be let off the hook!

On 14 October 2025, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) and National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina concluded a five-year cooperation agreement. Due to the traffic regulation orders in Zagreb for Thursday, 31 July 2025, when a grand military parade will be held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Croatia’s Operation Storm military offensive, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will not be able to regularly provide its services and will therefore be closed.
