Online tutorial on using the new NSK Catalogue

We have prepared for you an online tutorial with video instructions on the easy, simple and efficient use of the new NSK Catalogue, incorporating the Primo VE library discovery service.

Presenting all the functionalities of the Primo VE platform, the tutorial covers everything from simple to advanced AI-assisted search. All tutorial’s sections have been designed so as to give an overview of the key steps and useful advices that save time and facilitate work.

Intended to be equally beneficial for all who have only started to use the NSK Catalogue and its Primo VE interface as well as for those who wish to improve their research skills, the tutorial will give instructions on how to:

NSK Catalogue and the Primo VE discovery service offer unified access to print, electronic and digital resources, ranging from books, journal articles and databases to reference works, dissertations and resources in open access.

With Primo VE, a single query takes you not only to items in the NSK collections, but also to those held by other 82 Croatian academic libraries. It provides information on items available for loan or consultation in the reading rooms, as well as on those which may be accessed online, at the same time enabling ordering items from other libraries in Croatia and abroad.

Relevant subject databases are available for advanced search, offering additional features and access to relevant research material. Potjeh, the catalogue’s AI-powered research assistant, takes searching to the next level, by not only finding relevant and reliable sources, but by summing them up and facilitating their understanding, which all enables arriving at conclusions more quickly and increases the quality of learning.
