Director of National Library of Kosovo Dr Blerina Rogova Gaxha visits NSK

Director of the National Library of Kosovo Dr Blerina Rogova Gaxha and NSK Director General Dr Ivanka Stričević.

On 4 September 2024, the Director of the National Library of Kosovo Dr Blerina Rogova Gaxha visited NSK, the National and University Library in Zagreb.

During the visit, Dr Rogova Gaxha and the NSK Director General Dr Ivanka Stričević discussed the two libraries’ previous cooperation initiatives and various opportunities for continuing their successful collaboration in the future, especially with regard to the education of librarians and their continuous professional development, digitisation of resources in library collections, long-term preservation of digital heritage and storing legal deposit, as well as to the development of libraries and library profession in the future and to the social value of libraries.

Director Rogova Gaxha, otherwise a doctor of philosophy and writer, took office as the Director of the National Library of Kosovo in August 2024.
