NSK hosting LIBER Winter Event 2026
26 & 27 November 2026
On 26 and 27 November 2026, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will host an annual event of LIBER, the Association of European Research Libraries (Ligue des Bibliothèques Européennes de Recherche), along with an introductory pre-event, scheduled for 25 November.
Bringing together more than 400 research libraries from 40 European countries, LIBER organises the event every year as a platform for the representatives of LIBER members to analyse, evaluate and discuss their libraries’ and the Association’s work.
LIBER in Action: Connecting and Advocating for Research Libraries
Providing opportunities for a dynamic exchange of professional insights, the event, whose theme is LIBER in Action: Connecting and Advocating for Research Libraries, will spotlight LIBER’s 2023-2027 Strategy, in relation to issues central to the national, university, research and special libraries making part of LIBER.
The event participants will present the latest initiatives within the LIBER network, be able to receive useful feedback, seek advice on projects and find inspiration for their activities in the future. The event’s workshops and engaging interactive sessions will enable them to address issues that they find vital and see as priorities and open debates on topics key to their field of work.
Registration open by 1 November 2026
Apart from the members of LIBER’s working groups and taskforces, LIBER Quarterly’s editorial board and staff of LIBER member libraries, also invited to register for the event by 1 November 2026 are LIBER’s partners in various projects and collaboration initiatives as well as everyone interested in connecting with LIBER or simply joining the event’s programme.
Also, owing to NSK being the host of this year’s event, the staff of all Croatian libraries – regardless of their being LIBER members or not – are welcome to register.
