{"id":98486,"date":"2025-10-24T09:23:40","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T07:23:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/?p=98486"},"modified":"2026-01-21T12:08:12","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T11:08:12","slug":"croatian-fraternal-union-of-america-and-nsk-presenting-a-joint-project-spotlighting-croatian-emigrant-heritage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/events\/croatian-fraternal-union-of-america-and-nsk-presenting-a-joint-project-spotlighting-croatian-emigrant-heritage\/","title":{"rendered":"Croatian Fraternal Union of America and NSK presenting a joint project spotlighting Croatian emigrant heritage"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">On 4 November 2025, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) and <a href=\"https:\/\/cfu.org\/\">Croatian Fraternal Union of America<\/a> will jointly present <em><a href=\"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/news\/croatian-fraternal-union-of-america-and-nsk-jointly-protecting-croatian-emigrant-heritage\/\">From Pittsburgh with love: music and written heritage of Croatian emigrants<\/a><\/em>, a project focusing on fostering cultural connections between Croats in the US and Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting at 14.00 at <a href=\"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/tag\/croatrium\/\">CroAtrium<\/a> (conference hall Judita), our multimedia lab and heritage interpretation centre, the presentation will be held as the last event of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/tag\/heritage-at-hand-at-croatrium\/\">Heritage at Hand at CroAtrium<\/a><\/em>, the Library\u2019s 2025 programme aimed at the popularisation of <a href=\"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/nsk-collections\/croatica-croatias-national-library-collection\/\">CROATICA<\/a>, Croatia\u2019s national library collection which NSK curates as an integral part of Croatian cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Joining efforts to safeguard the heritage of Croatian Americans<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The project, which ran in 2024, will be presented by the Head of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/nsk-collections\/nsk-music-collection\/\">NSK Music Collection<\/a> Dr Tatjana Mihali\u0107, Head of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/conservation\/\">NSK Preservation and Storage Department<\/a> Dr Sanda Milo\u0161evi\u0107 and Senior Archivist and Curator at the <a href=\"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/nsk-collections\/nsk-manuscripts-and-old-books-collection\/\">NSK Manuscripts and Rare Books Collection<\/a> Dr Tamara \u0160tefanac.
