{"id":97671,"date":"2025-09-10T09:23:59","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T07:23:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/?p=97671"},"modified":"2025-09-18T12:56:26","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T10:56:26","slug":"incunabula-croatica-nsk-to-present-its-monograph-on-croatias-earliest-printed-books","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/events\/incunabula-croatica-nsk-to-present-its-monograph-on-croatias-earliest-printed-books\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cIncunabula Croatica\u201d: NSK to present its monograph on Croatia\u2019s earliest printed books"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"is-style-lead\">On 25 September 2025, starting at 13.00, the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will present <em>Incunabula Croatica<\/em>, the result of its major publishing project and a significant contribution to insights into Croatia\u2019s earliest printed books and the history of the Croatian book in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Published with the support of the <a href=\"https:\/\/min-kulture.gov.hr\/en\">Croatian Ministry of Culture and Media<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/nsk.hr\/en\/news\/nsk-research-project-on-croatian-incunabula-receives-grant-from-adris-foundation\/\">Adris Foundation<\/a> as a result of years-long research into the Croatian incunabula, the monograph will be presented by the NSK Director General Dr Ivanka Stri\u010devi\u0107, the monograph\u2019s consulting editors Associate Professor at the Department of Information and Communication Sciences of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unizg.hr\/homepage\/\">Zagreb University<\/a>\u2019s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Ivana Hebrang Grgi\u0107, Fellow of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.info.hazu.hr\/en\/\">Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts<\/a> Mateo \u017dagar and member emeritus of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipu.hr\/index.php?lang=en\">Institute of Art History<\/a> in Zagreb Dr Milan Pelc, along with the editor-in-chief Associate Professor at the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unizd.hr\/eng\/\">University of Zadar<\/a> Marijana Tomi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The crown of <strong>many<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>years of extensive research &nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By publishing the monograph, NSK is presenting the results of painstaking work and in-depth research into the Croatian incunabula which it undertook throughout the years in collaboration with many Croatian institutions. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spotlighting 180 copies of 96 Croatian earliest printed books identified in 40 institutions, the monograph features data collected as part of the Library\u2019s years-long project focusing on the Croatian incunabula (<em>Hrvatski prvotisci: popis i opis prvotisaka u hrvatskim svjetovnim i crkvenim ustanovama<\/em>).
