Published as part of the celebration of\u00a0NSK Day 2025<\/a>, the 21st<\/sup> issue of the journal of the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK),\u00a0The Voice of NSK<\/a><\/em>, is now available in both print and\u00a0electronic\u00a0<\/a>formats, with summaries in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest issue of the Library\u2019s official journal gives an\u00a0overview of its programmes and activities in 2024<\/a>, putting a spotlight on new services <\/a>and major NSK projects<\/a> along with the treasures in its collections<\/a>, professionals who through their dedicated work greatly advanced the library profession in Croatia as well as significant events and prominent figures in the history of Croatian culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"The<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This issue\u2019s Feature<\/em> section is thus dedicated to the 30th<\/sup> anniversary in 2025 of the Library\u2019s relocation to its current building, popularly referred to as \u201cthe glass cube\u201d. The In the focus<\/em> section highlights the most important NSK\u2019s programmes and projects in 2024, while the NSK treasures<\/em> section presents major last year\u2019s acquisitions to the Library\u2019s special collections among which Antiphonarium Romanum<\/em>, a 1725 Pauline codex, particularly stands out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Projects, anniversaries, successful cooperation initiatives \u2013 and much more\u2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Particularly worth singling out among NSK\u2019s 2024 activities are those related to the setting up of Bukinet.hr,<\/a> a cloud-based system for 83 Croatian academic libraries, made possible through the Library\u2019s implementation of the Alma\/Primo VE<\/a> library services platform, developed by the Ex Libris<\/a> Clarivate company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with bringing into focus the great anniversaries which we marked in 2024 \u2013 the 130th<\/sup> anniversary of the birth of the NSK Manuscripts and Old Books Collection<\/a> and the 20th <\/sup>anniversary of the Croatian Web Archive<\/a> \u2013 we are also commemorating in this issue\u2019s Homage<\/em> section our longtime and fruitful cooperation with the late outstanding Croatian writer and Fellow of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts Luko Paljetak<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
