International cooperation
Through its projects, the organisation of international exhibitions, membership in professional international associations and other international cooperation-focused activities, the Library promotes Croatia’s cultural heritage on an international scale, increases the global visibility of Croatia’s research output and significantly contributes to the advancement of the library profession globally.
Exhibitions
The organisation of exhibitions is one of NSK’s vital tasks in the promotion of cultural heritage and research legacy preserved as part of the Library’s holdings and collections.
Whether we present our exhibitions in the Library’s inviting spaces or at other venues in Croatia or abroad, we often prepare them through successful partnerships. Apart from the treasures making part of CROATICA, the national library collection that we curate, our exhibitions also feature valuable resources held by other – Croatian and foreign – heritage institutions.

The Library’s unique collection, currently comprising nearly 3,7 million items, is an invaluable resource when it comes to organising exhibitions, contextualising and enriching any theme.

Cooperation on publishing projects
Aimed at the preservation and promotion of Croatia’s cultural heritage and its scientific legacy, NSK’s publishing activities often involve collaborations and partnerships with other heritage institutions and organisations, as well as with artists, heritage experts, researchers and related individuals.

Filming and photographing on the Library’s premises
NSK may allow onsite filming and photographing on its premises for scientific and educational purposes as well as as part of programmes and initiatives aimed at the promotion of culture and serving the public interest.
The filming and photographing of the Library’s holdings is subject to the regulations governing the protection of copyright and related rights, personal data, library resources and cultural goods and is charged according to NSK Fees and Charges.

Press and media
In promoting Croatia’s cultural heritage, its scientific legacy and current research output, NSK takes great care of its effective cooperation with the press and media as one of valuable tools for increasing its visibility as a reliable information source when it comes to Croatian history and its current culture- and heritage-related national developments.
Also, the Library regularly notifies both the general public and target audiences about its exhibitions, book launches, presentations of various projects as well as about its conferences and other programmes and events through announcements on its website and its profiles and pages on social networks.
