On 3 October 2025 (14.00, Conference Hall Judita), the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) will host a concert marking the centenary of the birth of the Croatian composer, violinist, violist and music educator Miroslav Miletić (1925-2018).

Organised as the fourth edition of Heritage at Hand at CroAtrium, the concert will commemorate Miletić’s legacy in the context of Croatia’s musical heritage as well as his contribution to the promotion of Croatian composers worldwide through his work as the founder and leader of a notable string quartet Pro Arte Zagreb, with which he performed in thousands of concerts all across the globe.

NSK runs Heritage at Hand at CroAtrium as its 2025 programme promoting and popularising Croatian cultural heritage which the Library preserves as part of CROATICA, Croatia’s national library collection.

Miletić’s oeuvre in the NSK Music Collection – and online

Holding Miletić’s personal archive, the NSK Music Collection organises the concert in an effort to bring a small part of his rich oeuvre closer to the general public. Wishing to reach as wide an audience as possible, the Collection’s staff has also prepared an accompanying online exhibition.

The concert will feature selected Miletić’s instrumental and vocal-instrumental compositions, along with compositions by French authors, which will be performed by harpist Tajana Vukelić Peić, cellist Zita Draušnik, pianist Nadja Varga Modrić, mezzosoprano Tihana Herceg Ivšić and hornist Srđan Peić.

Please register for attending the concert at osj@nsk.hr, entry is free of charge.
