“Heritage at Hand at CroAtrium” #5: “Art between the covers: Book as a work of art”

The fifth edition of Heritage at Hand at CroAtrium, the 2025 programme of the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) promoting and popularising the Croatian national library collection, will be held on 29 October 2025, as part of this year’s Croatian Book Month programme.

Spotlighting books created as works of art, mainly visual art, the programme will feature a lecture by Professor at the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts Tanja Dabo, who will present the specific characteristics of artists’ books and other forms of art books.  

More than a book exhibition

In addition to Professor Dabo’s art books, the accompanying exhibition will showcase artists’ books created by the Academy’s students and visual artists Mia Maraković, Zorana Unković, Ivana Bajcer, Marija Lopac and Anita Miloš Tomaić.

The programme will take place at CroAtrium, which we are developing as the Library’s interactive multimedia lab presenting CROATICA to a wide variety of audiences and enabling the interpretation of its treasures through the most advanced technologies and formats.
